I believe in channelling my creative urges in order to produce unique artwork in sculpture and prints.
My inspiration for my work is the emotional struggle of life. : I am thus an ‘Expressionist Artist’ .
My Art is born out of a combination of my education, training and diverse life experience, which encompasses a 23 year career as a Health Care Professional in psychiatry as well as Armed forces and financial sector service. I also have a life long passion for Antiquities and Archaeology .
This allows my perspective as an artist to remain traditional yet contemporary. Art is how I battle against the indifference of humans in their struggle with life and my works privilage emotion and feeling over reason and offer new ways of viewing the world.
Since much supernatural practice involves tapping ones emotions, it follows my art is also steeped in mystical allegories, that draw on life’s emotional sensual energies to explain the world in often defiant juxtaposition to cartesean rationality and stationary explanations of existence,
My art is always moving in essence and this in turn nurtures its restlessness; mirroring my souls journey on its search for answers that defy rationalities’ half truths and mirages. My Art will continue to push boundaries: to go 'where boundaries decay' to investigate sensuous struggles with diverse materials; not to form an answer .... but to form a more insightful 'new' question' upon which to base new Art works for the future.
